“Discovering RAW’s Game-Changing Features in Online Dating; Combat Ghosting and Boost User Trust. ”

In the fast-paced world of online dating, a fresh approach has caught the attention of young, creative New Yorkers: RAW. This newly launched dating app has started to stand out in a crowded marketplace, particularly due to its unique way of connecting individuals. Instead of the usual profiles, RAW users share real-time daily photos, incorporating both front and back shots. This is made possible through the app's innovative use of a dual camera, designed specifically to counter the perennial problem of fake photos and deceptive identities.

While many dating apps face issues such as ghosting and insincerity, RAW is taking steps to change the narrative. The introduction of a 'Respect Meter' is a pioneering move in this space. Depending on user behavior, this meter showcases green, beige, or red flags to other users. Red flags indicate behaviors like being unresponsive or canceling plans last minute. Green flags celebrate positive interactions and gestures, like suggesting activities. Beige flags, meanwhile, hint at behaviors that might be considered odd, but not necessarily alarming.

One of the significant pain points in the online dating world is the problem of ghosting. A recent survey of 3,000 Gen Z New Yorkers aged between 20-28 revealed that a staggering 82% had been ghosted at least once. Other concerning statistics from this survey highlighted that 78.37% of respondents felt a burnout from online dating, while 43% were affected by ghosting and 52% had encountered catfishing. RAW seeks to address these concerns head-on. The 'No Ghosting' rule implemented by the app limits the number of chats a user can maintain without replying. To strike up a new conversation, users must either reply to existing ones or choose to un-crush them. This is not just about reducing the number of silent chats; it's a call for more genuine interactions.

User feedback so far has been promising. With these innovations, by the end of October 2023, RAW hopes to pave the way for a healthier online dating environment. Initial feedback suggests that 70% of users feel safer on RAW, with 60% becoming more considerate of their matches. Moreover, 53% have reported a noticeable decrease in toxic interactions.

The philosophy of RAW is clear. It's not about judging users but ensuring their safety. The app's ratings and flags aren't open to manipulation, ensuring that they remain an authentic reflection of user behavior. By introducing such measures, RAW aims to prevent users from fostering negative environments, ensuring that the world of online dating becomes a safer, more respectful space for all.
